It's hard to believe after the huge impact that it has had on the internet, but Twitter isn't actually one of the most popular social media platforms. It has just under 354 million users, dwarfed by something like Facebook's 2.963 billion.

Nonetheless, we see its influence everywhere we go online. No other place does sh*tposters and crazy people quite like the bird app, and the humor of those who choose to post there has changed how many of us think forever.

While Twitter may have had a tumultuous year thanks to Elon Musk, the content it hosts is as riotous as it always was. That's why we're here with another helping of amusing and diverting tweets. There's a reason that the platform is so exclusive, and that's because it takes a certain level of wittiness to succeed.
